Post-StE Activities: After the invasion Celine stayed for a short while to help with the rescue effort and then headed back home to Fussen as early as she was able to check on her family in person and help with the moderate cleanup and rebuilding there. Fortunately, they all survived though her brother lost part of his leg.
Though her foster family was a bit wary about Celine being numbered the alien invasion had, at least, ensured their worry took priority over their distrust of the numbered. As a result things returned to relative normalcy. At least as far as her family was concerned.
Despite the opposition the numbered faced, she had not been known as one for all that long and was not that well known and she was nowhere near as recognizable as some of the other numbered. She quietly resumed her job as a waitress, doing her best to keep her status quiet and her powers in check and has managed to get by okay. Unfortunately, near apocalyptic alien invasions aren't good for business and Celine has found it difficult to get by on her reduced wages. This, in addition to escalating harassment from customers, co-workers, and even strangers has caused her to swallow her pride and seriously consider the idea of moving. Emi has (repeatedly) offered to take her in but Celine doesn't want to intrude.
Though she didn't completely disappear from the network she also hasn't reached out all that much to interact with other numbered with her own life being hectic enough as it is. However, her relationship with Emi, Dani, and Arthur has continued to improve mostly due to the fact that Emi finds some way to involve Celine. And working less meant fewer reasons to say no often resulting in Celine getting dragged along and actually having a bit of fun once she stops being a giant grump.
Over the course of the year Celine's nightmares caused by her powers have gotten significantly worse no doubt, in part, to the memories of the aliens' attack. To the point where she wakes up multiple times if she tries to sleep through the night. Insomnia set in after a couple months of this and her mental exhaustion has been gradually wearing her down.
Though she did her best to hide it, her family noticed fairly quickly. Despite their urging, she has not sought out any form of counseling or therapy beyond over the counter sleep remedies. This is partially due to the fact she doesn't want to draw further attention to herself, and partially due to her stubborn pride.
Starting Location: Fussen, Germany.
Additional Echoes: T1- Some of her skill at cooking returned after sampling some especially bad food. She did not re-gain the knowledge of her old recipes. T2- Celine's silver knives re-gain some of the strange carvings along the blades that pick up ambient magic/energy when swung or thrown, making them more effective against ghosts, and enhancing the silver's natural vampire/demon hunting properties. Characters with magic/energy control can also channel it around her blades if they get ahold of them. (Celine herself has no innate magic and cannot do this, however)
Goals for RtE: Celine just wants to get by. She doesn't enjoy being numbered but is too stubborn to fall short on her responsibilities as one. She hopes to calm people's opinions about her and her role in everything and simply live the rest of her life in some degree of calm and comfort.
She doesn't really have any plans per se, but no doubt she'll be (unhappily) dragged into whatever shenanigans pop up time and time again.
